Kick off summer with a new Highland Outdoors adventure. Start on West Virginia’s Snowshoe Mountain, where adaptive mountain bikers experience downhill thrills. Stop to learn about rare, carnivorous bog plants, then grab a whitewater tube in Harpers Ferry. Visit the Maryland communities of Deep Creek Lake, Oakland, and Friendsville, and head up to Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania, where Riversport School of Paddling teaches your kids to whitewater kayak. You’ll need their help on your extreme geocaching adventure—it’s intense, so don’t say we didn’t warn you!
